Hello! I am an experienced guitarist and singer, looking for a situation outside the typical classic rock cover thing. I’m inclined towards the rootsier side of American music, especially if the roots emanate from New Orleans. I’ve always loved The Meters, Neville Bros, Allen Toussaint, Dr.John, Feat, etc. Anything with that funky groove.
But I also love interpreting the Masters: Chuck, Hank, Elvis, Buck, Patsy, as well as Dylan,The Band, Stones (esp the late 60’s- early 70’s era). You get the idea. So the ideal situation would be a rhythm section or individuals capable of spanning the range noted above. Not above throwing something wacky into the mix: surf, polka, Sinatra, why not?
