ABOUT

52 yo guitar player looking for like minded and similar age range folks to form a band. It would be great to find a bass player who likes to write songs and start from there. The most important things to me are collaborative song writing, relaxed atmosphere, and having fun with the process. I feel strongly about sound -i.e. how the instruments work together and sound live is crucial; volume, tone, dynamics etc. I'm not a shredder nor expect anyone to burn up the fretboard, but I do practice and try to get better. I'm open to singing depending on where things go. For the type of music I am interested in, "lead" and "rhythm" are not very useful descriptors for guitars. Ideal situation would be a 4 piece - 2 guitar, bass, drums, but open to a dedicated singer under the right circumstances. I'd be psyched to play locally and perhaps regionally, but no desire to tour.
