Looking for a band to play my original pop music!

Lauren Shell is a singer/songwriter/recording artist. She is from West Palm Beach, Florida and divides her time between Richmond, and Palm Beach County, Florida. She also has immediate family in Los Angeles.

Lauren created her stage name Lauren Shell from her middle name “Michele,” and the idea that music helped her break out of her shell.

Lauren grew up in a family band alongside her parents and four sisters. Together, they created original children’s music and supported charitable causes, including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon, and local children’s hospitals.

Lauren and her sisters performed at events like “SunFest” and Major League Baseball games. They also entertained for influential figures such as former General Colin Powell, a former Miss America, and composer Marvin Hamlisch.

As she grew older, Lauren’s musical repertoire expanded to include Broadway classics from “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Les Miserables,” “Sunset Boulevard,” and more. Drawing inspiration from artists like Barbra Streisand, Carole King, and The Carpenters, she developed a versatile singing style that encompasses contemporary pop and jazz standards.

When she reunited in 2016 with her childhood friend Justin Jesso (known for his collaboration on Kygo’s hit song “Stargazing”), Lauren’s journey took an exciting turn. Justin inspired her to pursue her own independent music career in pop music. Lauren crafts her own melodies and lyrics, and collaborates with producers to bring her visions to life, infusing her songs with a fierce and passionate energy.

With over 30 songs already drafted, Lauren’s music delves into themes of control, empowerment, love, heartbreak, strength, and having fun. With danceable beats and a strong bass, and others as mid-tempo ballads, she aims to create an empowering and captivating sound. Lauren draws inspiration from and pictures such icons as Janet, Britney, Bruno, Demi, Katy, Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Michelle Branch, Miley, Elle Goulding, Kacey Musgraves, John Legend, and Madonna performing her songs.
