Thus far we have created 20 original tune final mixes. There are many more in the hopper we're working on. We're seeking musicians to play these parts. If you're interested, please drop us a line. You may do so here or via the Contact form on our website.
Leopold and Company is a collaborative effort among Darby Stowan, M. C. Prufrock, and whatever other ragtag band of musicians we assimilate into our funky surreal collective. We are all individuals...except for some of us.
The idea for this effort flowed from a conversation about composing songs about weird news stories. Thus, "No One Was Injured" (composed via text message over the course of 2 hours on a Saturday), "Hwy 120 at Midnight", and "Hamburger Strangler" were born.
We've attempted to list urls (web addresses) to the news stories here, but, apparently, BandMix won't display that text properly.
We continue to write music inspired by odd news stories as well as other songs, some that are re-imaginings of songs we performed with a former band.
