I’m Matthew Hartung. My main instrument is drums, and I have been playing rock and jazz on the drums for nearly 4 years. I’ve been playing and studying music for 8. I also play bass guitar and piano, and have been studying them for 2 years. I have been playing in a rock band for a year and had a blast doing it.

Influences
I take a lot of influence from jazz artists. Miles Davis, Max Roach, John Coltrane, Tony Williams, Thelonious Monk. My rock and other influences include Pearl Jam, Limp Bizkit, Deftones, Radiohead, and drummers Carter Beauford and Travis Barker.

EQUIPMENT
I can transport a bass and a decent amp for gigs. My drum set is not the greatest, but it is transportable. I also have access to other percussion, bongos, djembe, bells, marimba, etc.
