ABOUT

Looking to do a re-start of the band featuring multi male and female world renown tribute artists, rehearsing once a week even if there aren't any immediate gigs lined up. Looking for individuals who want to jam as friends in a close knit tight band in a nice rehearsal space once a week just because they enjoy being with their fellow band mates. This is our form of hanging out with each other but not at some bowling lane or playing softball somewhere.
I am the former band leader and founder of Plane Rock Band in Ocala. I also have 70sclassicrocker and worshipleadercharlie as screen names here on Bandmix. We jumped off of classic rock for awhile and did a lot of great Elvis Presley concerts and we performed as the Elvis tribute band TCB for a few years at larger venues like Top of The World Circle Square Commons, Sharon Morse Theater in The Villages and Barbara B Mann in Ft Myers at venues seating up to 1800 people in the audience. My partner and I personally invested thousands of dollars in putting on top notch shows hiring some of the best world renown Elvis Tribute artists. The shows were a complete success in terms of entertaining Elvis fans. The crowds were very faithful, excited to come to our shows and grateful for the work that we all did. Most of our shows were completely sold out performances.
I have a rehearsal/recording studio that would be great for musicians that actually like practicing and hanging out together in a smokeless and drug free recording studio environment just because they love jamming with fellow band members, putting egos aside and just plain like to have fun musically because sometimes its not about how many paid gigs we get each month. However the goal is doing up to 12 shows a year or one gig a month.

I would love to do several Chicago tunes in the band with our own horn section. Add in some Doobie Bros, Lynyrd Skynyrd. They all had horns. The 70s ROCKED! We would also do some songs by famous well known female singer/songwriter artists, possibly Tina Turner, Etta James, Tracey Chapman, Bonnie Raitt and maybe even Gloria Estefan for the Latin folks and others who like to dance.

As far as influences go: We would like to thank John McFee and Pat Simmons from the Doobie Brothers for personally signing our band picture. Our other major influences are Eric Clapton, Chicago, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Santana, Tina Turner and many more.

PRB is not currently rehearsing or touring but I want to change that with PRB version 2.0 We've been on sabbatical ever since COVID but as the Blues Brothers said, we're getting the band back together again!

EQUIPMENT

Enough to do the job but if there should be a version 2.0 I would be looking for a dependable team of roadies/sound/light people to run our equipment and basically do the load in, setup, strike and load out of all the gear (backline, instruments, PA and lights) so the band members don't have to wear all the hats as entertainer/roadie.

Hey! There are Chicago fans out there. My proof? Look at Leonid & Friends! They are really BIG! They are from Russia touring in the USA, performing songs by American bands like Chicago. Ides of march, Earth Wind & Fire! AND they're Killing it!
