Metal guitarist looking to write songs/start project with another guitarist/bassist/drummer/anyone who can help me put together songs. I have a ton of ideas and can come up with many on the spot, I just struggle (pretty heavily) with organizing them into songs/being decisive in general. So, I'm looking throw my ideas together with someone, and write some full songs. I say that, not "start a band", because it's frankly pretty difficult to find a drummer who can play the kind of parts that are pretty much required for the sound, and it's more important to me at this stage to have some fun, & get some songs written and recorded.
What I'm looking for is someone who:
- likes how my stuff sounds, and hopefully can contribute to it
- is willing to practice to be able to play it well
- either knows how to use tab software (I don't really, I don't know timings and rhythms or anything) or is willing to learn how with me

Influences
My sound, summarized: fast, agressive, melodic, tastefully technical
My sound, specified: I would say my sound is like, a more intense (technical I guess) version of 2000s-core. All That Remains' The Fall of Ideals was the first album I ever heard that made me go ????, at the same time I heard Shadows Fall and God Forbid. From there I just jettisoned into that whole universe; Lamb of God, Trivium, Machine Head, As I Lay Dying, BFMV, etc. Also got my taste of the classics; got huge into Maiden, Metallica and Slayer. From there I gravitated the more scene kid side of things; As Blood Runs Black, Miss May I, the early Sumerian bands, Whitechapel, etc. Then back to the "real" stuff; The Black Dahlia Murder, Skeletonwitch, Sylosis. Basically, I liked a little everything other than OSDM and real black metal. I started playing bass when I was 17, and at that point started paying attention to technicality more and more; eventually got into Obscura, and in 2013 discovered Fallujah, who absolutely blew my mind and completely redefined music for me. I also got very heavy into Inferi, Rivers of Nihil, Virvum, Soreption, Psycroptic, etc. At that point though, say around 2015-16 (I was 22-23), I pretty much stopped getting into new stuff. If something catches my ear I'll listen to it, but that's a pretty rare occurrence.
The reason I illustrated that pyramid is because it pretty much explains what my stuff sounds like: the foundation is essentially 2007core, but with a dose of modern technicality on top of it.
