ABOUT

You can check out my stuff here--and there's quite a bit more online (walterhorn1111) and at Spotify, Amazon, and Apple Music. I'm looking for a violinist, violist, and/or cellist to make strange, improvised, classically tinged stuff. An alto sax player, bass clarinetist, and/or purveyor of odd percussion instruments might also work. In the distant past, I played a few pretty fancy gigs--mostly around the U.S., but one in Europe--and put out a few CDs which I either led or appeared on as a sideman. But my rig is no longer terribly mobile and, at 70, I'm not wildly motivated to play out anymore. I just miss collaborating with fellow improvisers. In spite of that, I WOULD consider playing a gig or two if something not too inconvenient came up.

Though I love both Meshuggah and Mahavishnu (and hundreds of other groups as well), I'm NOT interested in playing metal, rock, GB, lounge, calypso, Christian, etc., etc. I just hope to freely improvise with one or more talented players again..
