I am a Veteran guitarist/vocalist who wants to share the vocals and deliver a professional product. Play classic/new rock and modern country that people want to dance to, with great harmonies, leads and steady rhythm. No booze breaks after every song, no obnoxious volumes, no egos. Just keeping the people moving on the dance floor. Know your audience. Do you want them to sit and be impressed and leave early?, or do you want them dancing and buying more drinks and staying all night till quitten time, leaving happy and wanting more? Playing what people want to dance to in the local bar scene is the way to play out regularly and be a popular band. It ain't a concert, it's them, enjoying their bar and having a good time. I'm looking for musicians that want to do it right; no 'fakers' or VOLUME addicts. You can still play challenging, interesting music for the 'musicians' just not every other song. Most music has to be familiar, for them to dance to (3 or 4 in a row). Grab their attention with the first one, or first few, and last song of each set. Then get them up dancing in between. Have versatile sets ready and again, know your audience. Be prepared!
I'm a successful studio and stage musician with experience spanning 45+ years. The goal is to entertain not impress. If you do the first you'll earn the second.
