My name is Duane. I'm a 62 year old guitar player who began taking lessons at age 10. I've been forming bands since the age of 12 and performing gigs age 15. I have a fully furnished studio in my home located in Columbia Heights which makes getting together for rehearsals easy and convenient. I am the leader of the American Dream Band. We play oldies and classic rock. Every song in our set list was once a top 100 hit with most being in the top 10. Being together with like minded, talented musicians and singers is also enjoyable on a social level.

Influences

There are a lot of musicians and bands who have influenced me. The lead guitar stylings of Randy Bachman, Steve Gaines, Jeff Baxter, Jimi Page, Carlos Santana are the first that come to mind. The song structure of the Beatles music, the musical integrity of Steely Dan, the raw sound of The Rolling Stones. Songs that create a powerful feeling. Songs that make you wanna dance. Singers that touch your soul.
