Band to Join.

ABOUT

My band KOTA is taking an indefinite break after 3 yrs together, so I am currently looking to join an already established Rock Band to play in. I have been playing bass for about 40 yrs, I have a degree in Music for flute. I was with Elaborate Hoax for 5 years. Before that, created a great album, Born Rebels, recorded 5 professional videos with Chuk Cooley and The Demon Hammers. I have spent 30 years in the Tulsa area music scene, playing weekly, and in such venues as The Cains Ballroom, Bob Wills Room, Bikelahoma and Rocklahoma. I have played in Dallas and Houston for several events. I have spent several hours in the studio with Hank Charles/Valcour Sound, and have recorded additional flute pieces for some Tulsa area bands. I just recently got to spend some time at Natura Digital Studios with David Teegaren and did some radio time with RadioIDL in Tulsa. I recently played with new band Ad Deus, a totally rocking faith based band. I got to perform with the Best of Tulsa musicians on Dec 9th, 2017 for a Tom Petty Tribute.

Influences

My greatest bass influence is Geddy Lee, (RUSH), that's what got me started right out of college. I was classically trained on flute for 8 years, and now have a great knack for playing improv to just about any guitar riffs. I grew up playing bass to Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Rush, Metallica and the likes, I guess my original writing would be considered Rock/Southern/Intricate bass lines. I love throwing in flute lines with original songs, and I still love to play flute on all of the xmas classics.

EQUIPMENT

I currently have 3 basses, my brand new Rickenbacker, 1 Schecter Bass, 1 Fender Acoustic/Electric. I have a Fender Rumble 350 Bass Amp, and so far it is working out perfectly!! I also have wireless system and Boss Bass Chorus. I have a Gemienhardt flute that I have refurbished about once a year.
