ABOUT

We are looking for a laid back, easy going bass player with solid classic rock roots looking for a no stress but working band that will not dominate his/her time. No professional experience is required, but those with professional experience looking to scale back to a more relaxed setting that still allows them to practice and perform live on a more limited basis are encouraged to inquire. We are a cover band that plays classic/radio rock from the 60's through today. We all have full time jobs and families and enjoy the band mostly as a hobby. We have typically played only 3 to 4 gigs a year but are ready to expand that to around 6 to 10 gigs per year, perhaps more if regular paying gigs can be found. Those who enjoy going on tour or playing weekly gigs should look elsewhere.

Influences

We have about 40 to 50 songs in our repertoire. Examples would include songs like Brown Sugar, Santaria, Twist and Shout, Summer of '69, I Want You to Want Me, American Girl, Cecilia, Talk Dirty to Me, etc. We like to work in a few new songs every year, typically adding 5 or 6 news ones, then rotating back in old ones as we see fit.

Members Of Band

It is currently a four piece, but our bass player will be moving to rhythm guitar, leaving a spot open for bass. We have a lead guitar/vocalist and a second rhythm guitar player/vocalist who split the lead vocals and provide harmonies. We are not looking for a bass player who can sing or provide harmonies, but those with singing talent would be encouraged to participate if they want.

EQUIPMENT

We all provide our own equipment. As a band, we own a 20 input Peavey XR 1220 mixer and two 15" speakers, but are open to expanding our gear.
