ABOUT

.
Hi how are you all doing? I am the lead vocalist and a guitar palyer for a band named “Snake Oil and the Medicine Show”. You've never heard of us...but give us a minute (said every musician ever) lol We're a good southern rock revival band (didn't say tribute!) and we need another guitar. I have recruited some really really good musicians (We currently feature bass drums keyboards Bari saxophone tenor saxophone and trumpet and all of them sing excellent back up.) The trumpet player has a masters degree in music and is an insane singer. she pulls off the backing vocals on things like Sweet home Alabama beautifully and really sets the pitch for the other back up singers and what comes out is just great. When it's all worked through it's magic. We also have three guitar players including myself...or we did. The attached clip of The Marshall Tucker band “can't you see” is our first run through of this song the first time all nine members of this band were together... we ran through a chorus piece we ran through the intro piece and we all looked at each other and said crap we should probably record this and we put a cell phone on top of a 1974 fender Rhodes electric piano this is what came out. Hand to god. The best audio was at the end but the whole song is this good. Our repertoire will run from Lynyrd Skynyrd the Allman Brothers 38 special Blackfoot and Molly Hatchet to the Black Crowes The Georgia Satellites Blackberry Smoke who we really love and then some non-southern rock stuff that we're adopting to our sound for example Sammy Hagar's remix of Ramblin Gamblin man sounds fantastic when we play it we have a Chris Stapleton song Arkansas and also sounds fantastic. So the last guy I contacted heard the clip and was kind enough to say we were "above his pay grade" which was crazy ( the guy played the St. Paul Rodeo he's gotta be pretty good right?) Yeah, it's an easy tune but... AIM HIGH, let's go...! Talk to you soon future band members!
