Short Take: “Hey, we’ve got one heck of a band going on! Just ask!”
As one prominent club owner recently said: "Finally... a band with some balls."
Second Hand Rose is a classic/ contemporary rock cover band hailing from the greater Charleston metro area that has garnered a recent buzz. Second Hand Rose has been on the rise with increased fan and club demand from recent full houses, rave club review, press mention, and obvious notice from segments of the greater Charleston rock musician community.
Second Hand Rose’s song repertoire runs through each decade from the 60s on through to the current millennium. The skill and passion to pull that off live for its astute and ever-increasing adult audience is part of the fun.

All this would seem unlikely from a band that has been in the process of replacing musicians and hit-or-miss fill-in players of the past. But the band has been raising the bar with the quality of its roster of talent and its courageous repertoire. They have local industry talent representation, but even more important is the level of expertise that they have in-house, and the passion to pull it off.
Second Hand Rose is fronted by the opera-trained screamer Cindi Tesseniar, one of the strongest crystal-gazing female vocalists in the area (Kid Flash, Acumen, The Nerve.)
Stage right is the realm of guitar shredder/ harmony vocalist and national touring pro/ guitar instructor Jimmy Polston, whose hellacious fretboard histrionics and lone guitar work fills the musical harmonic space with authority, creativity, passion and intelligence that would otherwise require a second guitarist or keyboard (Bounty Hunter, The Danny Joe Brown Band/ Molly Hatchet, Arsÿnn.)
Drummer/ Background Vocalist Dan Stacy is the perfect powerhouse lightning-filled drummer of rare attention to detail and feel (Tin Catz, Redline.)
Production assistance is by Sound Engineer, Music Producer Fred Hudson III;
Bass tasks are up for grabs as the band is searching for a permanent replacement.
The experienced stage veterans of Second Hand Rose know the value of entertaining the crowd-at-hand while maintaining firm grasps of what their outstanding strengths are at the musical and live performance ends. Some who miss the entire picture may consider Second Hand Rose to be a “’70’s band”, but those people cannot be faulted; it just so happens that the band epitomizes almost every major influence that made rock what it is today – and those influences are present as if they were still new.
