ABOUT

Lifelong artist/musician. Don't really care for labeling or genre snobbery, it's all rock n' roll.to me.. unless it's jazz.

I do not possess an overly inflated ego; said almost every musician ever. I figure everyone has their own skill set. If you can walk you can dance, if you can talk you can sing. Anyone can shake a tambourine or scrape a güiro.

Comfortable with just about anything that makes noise, though these days I have only an acoustic and my voice to bring to the table. In the past I've owned/worked with a ridiculous amount of guitars, keyboards, samplers, various percussion instruments, homemade microphones, brass, bells, woodwinds, random objects and of course.....silence.

Though I've done both, I've spent more time in the studio than on stage. Worked in live entertainment for much of my adult life. Worked, and practically lived at Soundwave Studios for awhile; a Bay Area staple for knowns and unknowns alike.

New to the area, looking to start meeting some local musicians, maybe jam, see where things go. I'd rather have no expectations going in and be pleasantly surprised, than to assume something great is gonna happen and be disappointed..

Influences

I dislike making these lists almost as much as I dislike being asked what genre I play. Just seems limited, so I'll say a whole bunch of the greats and some not-so-well-known musicians from:
Roots music to Modern pop slop
Lots o' classic rock
Alternative
Mostly Old School Punk/Metal/Country/Hip-Hop, though I keep my ears open.
Funk/Soul/Jazz/R&B/Stax/Motown
EDM
Classical
A wide range if international artists I've have the pleasure of working with and seeing perform over the years whose talent and cultural influences supersede genres and typically blow my mind.
