I'm a 23 year old female who has recently picked up the bass. I have caught on very quickly and continue to do more with it every day. I was in a band called The BlastFemurs (it's ./blastfemurs). Anwyay, the band disbanded because the lead guitar decided to jump ship without telling anyone. I've still been playing on my bass, and I miss playing in a band.
I had another band (Bluecollar Suicide) interested in taking me in, but their current bass player changed his mind and decided to stay (these guys have been playing for many years and saw the potential I had).
I'll admit...I can't give you a bass solo or do something wild. However, I do have alot of energy and work my butt off when needed (I learned a set for the Bluecollar Suicide for a potential gig in less than a week).
