Left Handed Guitarist looking to join an established band, or bands. Originals, Hard Rock cover or Tribute bands. MIT grad in LA. Played the LA scene from 88-93. Very capable.
I have no ego, I don't have to be the lead , or I can. I do like a variety of styles beside the hairband stuff, but that is where my passion lies. As far as current acts I find fun to play, songs like Rest in Peace(Dorothy), Jesus and Joan Jett (Kasey Tyndall), and many Jason Aldean songs. Stuff that rocks. As far as Alternate Rock, Alter Bridge. Things I look for in a band : Playing the songs as they were recorded. I am not talking about nailing every squeal like in Rock Star, but playing the songs as they were recorded, structurally. Regular Practices, I would prefer once a week at least. Back in the day we played originals in the hope to get signed, so you had to be tight. Whether for fun or money, be serious. My influences are George Lynch, Reb Beach, Mattias Jabs, Rudolf Schenker , Steve Vai, Neal Shon, and most of the hairband greats. Bands at the top of my playlist, Lynch Mob/Dokken, Winger, Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Whitesnake,Queensryche Alter Bridge, Journey, Pat Benatar, 38 Special. I am geared up. Depending on the gig, can play through the venue PA, or Cabs. I learn songs very quickly. I am open to female members, especially Vocalists. I envision playing the songs that get the hips moving in the audience like Get The Funk Out(Extreme), Can't Get Enough(Winger), Shake Me(Cinderella), Pour Some Sugar On Me(Def Leppard), etc. A female singer, performing these songs would be insane:)
