My name is Alexx Miller. I'm 22 years old. Live in Cuyahoga Falls, OH (borderline Akron, OH) Graduated 2008. I have a family, an amazing girlfriend, and a 2 year old son whom I share custody with. My passion is singing and always has been. I'm looking to join a dedicated band who wants to build a strong LOCAL name for themselves and takes it seriously. With my sons age and other personal life things like holding a job and having a serious relationship I would not be looking to tour very far outside the state until a name was built for ourselves and a contract was offered that would financially take us somewhere. I feel I have a very strong work ethic with everything I do and I'm a perfectionist. I do not have any professional training for singing. I was taught the basics of drums when I was 12 for about 6 months and I once had my own kit and I am fairly good. I've messed around and practiced every once in a while with others kits just to keep my grove in place. ;) I'm not a GOD though. Although once I get the money I will invest in a kit to further my skills with that. I still have love for the drums forever and always, but damn it's hard to find somewhere to put those things and not get a notice complaint, let alone afford a kit I would actually love. =P one day... One day... But in all seriousness I've been singing since I was able to understand what singing was. I would sing to anything and everything even if I didn't know the words. I've always found excitement in using my voice for more than talking. It's fun and it's training even if you can't hit a certain note in your most favorite song, because it's something that you can work towards hitting. Goals, achievements, and accomplishing things is what makes people grow. That's the standard I try to set for myself everytime I sing. I feel there is always room to improve and grow as long as you work towards it. I've been in one band when I was 15 years old. I was the lead singer/screamer and our genre was classified as hardcore. This lasted for a year and was going fairly well for being so young, but a few of the band members lost a lot due to drugs and it just fell apart. I'm looking for a band to join and grow with to further the whole bands career and experience not just mine. People who want to work as a team and accomplish things. Please let me know if you or your band mates are interested. I'm very open to music choices. I have always wanted to be in a pop punk, hardcore, or some type of soft rock/reggae/acoustic band. But I am open to any ideas. I love everything from The Temptations, to Taylor Swift, to The Devil Wears Prada, to the Across the Universe Soundtrack, to some old school hip hop from my homies The Geto Boys, to Jon Mayer, to whatever you could think of. I'm all ears when it comes to music because it takes time and effort for people to make music no matter what the sound is or who it appeals to. Just let me know what you think and toss your offers/ideas to me whenever you'd like. I'm very open to constructive criticism!
