ABOUT

Professsional level musician / utility guy, looking for band$ that have work. Am a multi-instrument musician (piano/keys, guitar, bass, accordian, harmonica, more), but currently focused on Piano Keyboards & Sax. My background includes classical piano starting at age 4 1/2, high school jazz (lead alto sax), rock & metal (rhythm & lead), 70s/80s dance/new wave, R&B/soul, and Red Dirt country. I currently play lead and rhythm parts on keys and harmonica, as well as splitting my Keyboard to orchestrate multiple sounds such as piano, synth, horn, and strings parts for example. The experience of playing in so many bands taught me when to play rhythm parts and when to throw down lead lines when needed. I’m not a musician who vamps and doodles throughout songs needlessly. Love jamming though! I can read music, but don’t just ‘play the notes’ on a piece of paper. I give the music feeling that gives the listener an awesome experience. I also ‘fill in the gaps’ with rich sounds and textures if a song has weak spots that needs it. I have a ‘toolbox’ of instruments and music styles that allows me to play with pretty much anybody. I’m also aware that at the end of the day, 90% of the audience are non-musicians, so even though we’re all musicians first, when it comes time to perform, we become entertainers who must read the audience, and play music and entertain to the audience at hand. And yet the audience changes all the time...even at the same venue!

For vocals, I have a very strong ability to ntly ‘match pitch’ which allows me to ntly harmonize with lead singers to create awesome vocal harmonies. It’s very easy for me actually. I can hit the high notes way above lead vocal parts, yet I’m a tenor so I’m able to hit many of the lower notes for Johnny Cash songs for example. Also have played both bass and keys simultaneously when needed although not my fave. Check out the video and you can see... :o)

I perform with a Las Vegas based Rod Stewart Tribute Band That does a couple mini tours each year, mainly theater gigs. Also several local bands ranging from Americana singer songwriter to variety cover bands.

I’ve opened for Lou Gramm (Foreigner) at Oyster Bake, Cody Canada, Mark Chesnutt, Wade Bowen, Stoney LaRue, and others. I’ve also recorded an album with Rami Jaffe (Foo Fighters & Wall Flowers), and I’ve performed in bands with the (former) touring drummers for Tommy Tutone, Missing Persons, Billy Idol, and Chaka Kahn.
