Alien Religion is an alternative rock band committed to going all the way. The music of a Smashing Pumpkins, a Nine Inch Nails, a Dead Weather, a Guns N' Roses. The theatrics of an Alice Cooper, a Rob Zombie, a Pink Floyd, a Stanley Kubrick. We have a vision. We have an image. And we have the songs. We take this seriously and we're confident in making something big.
The band is currently: a lead guitarist/lead vocalist, 27, with 19 years experience, 100+ gigs played, including opening for some major acts like Jackyl, Shooter Jennings, Black Oak Arkansas, and Kentucky Headhunters, at festivals and large outdoor shows all across the Midwest. Partnered with a rhythm guitarist, 24, of 6 years experience, just as dedicated. We both have pro gear and have played together for years, familiar with each other's styles.
It is important to note that despite our serious aspirations, we are following this dream because it is fun. That means we choose to be laid back in demeanor, but hard working in endeavor. We are looking for someone like minded in this way. Do not be shy to reach out for a jam. We're looking for a bassist and a drummer and we would love to hear about you. What makes us unique is that we believe in the strength of songcraft in the classic rock era, but we want to propel that into the alt rock era to modernize it. We also have ideas about how to progress this unique mix tastefully, including symphonic and electronic instrumentation. Not to mention, every lyrical approach is pakingly developed and redeveloped until we feel it is a brilliant idea.
