I'm looking for a band that is able to play both acustic and electric. The styles can be open just no country music. I have opportunities, and contacts to go to the top I just need the right band to help me get there. Practice is a must.
Bio I started playing bass in 1995. My first band was a bit of a punk style highly influenced by Green Day. The Lead Singer sounded exacly like Armstrong. Though we were uncoordinated we still won prizes for our sound in battle of the band events. Some drastic changes took place due to unforseen circomstances. So the band broke up and we went out on our separate ventures. I became a lead vocalist myself. Influences include Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam, Chris Cornell from Soundgarden, other bands such as Seven Mary Three, Days of the New, Tantric, Stevie Ray Vauhn, Lynard Skynard, Stone Temple Pilots, Temple of the Dog, Alice in Chains, Metallica, Pantera, And many more. In 1998 I found the perfect Guitarist by the name of Scott Lewis. His abilities far exceeded what I was looking for in a band mate. With his talents incoorporated with mine our sound was original and versatile. From blues to hard rock and from Blue Grass to Reggae, our combined creativity was growing more and more popular. We both grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska. Here the winters are dark and quiet and an optimal place to find yourself and your true creativity. In 1999 Scott moved to Seattle and my new wife and I soon followed. In 2000 Scott and I accomponied by John Plessinger our creative drummer, played every place you could play in Seattle. Our favorite places to play began with the local parks. With Scott on an acoustic 12 and 6 string, myself on vocals and John on the african Djembe our rough acoustic sound attracted people of all ages and lifestyles. The inspirative lifestyle of Seattle Washington is unmatched in my life. My goal is to someday return and continue my musical career. I can't wait to be able to play in all the public parks and beaches of Seattle as well as the Ballard Firehouse and the Showbox. Most of all would be Golden Gardens Beach, the bonfires and the acoustic tunnel create an awsome practice area. And all the free publicity available. I have over 30 songs all original some with music & vocals some only vocals but all are original. My goal is to find the new sound that will inspire my lyrics once again. I only plan to make it all the way to the top. I know how easy it can truley be you only need the ambition and you can be anything you want to be.
