Hey y'all! My name is Katie, I'm 31, and I just moved to the Nashville area in mid-March. I just started a new full-time job, but I want to connect with people and make music! I have marching band and concert band experience in trumpet, along with a couple short-term swing bands where I also sang lead vocals when the opportunity arose. I'm very interested in singing, and I'm currently learning how to play bass (shoutout to BassBuzz) so I would love to be able to participate with that sometimes. Disclaimer though - I'm still VERY new to bass, so I wouldn't call myself an official bass player.
Would I love to play music full-time? Oh yes. That's a dream of mine FOR SURE. But life is super expensive right now, so I need to be able to continue my full-time job. I'd be down to rehearse regularly 1-2 times a week. I'm open to ideas! And if we take off and it becomes a higher commitment, I'll be open and interested then too!
