ABOUT

I’m a lifelong musician, I studied classical guitar and composition in college, played guitar and keys in bands in LA and SF. I opened a synth/electronic music store in San Francisco in the early 2000s called Robotspeak (it’s still there with my business partner Steve at the helm) and was very much involved in the Bay Area music scene from the mid 90’s through 2015 when I moved to Portland. Since then I’ve been a bit or a musical recluse, writing and recording in my home studio. It’s time to start playing with some good musicians again. I am looking to collaborate on song writing collaboration and performing, recording some original music, or joining / forming a band to jam, rehearse and play some occasional show. Duo? Trio? More? Sure! Just want to meet some like minded musicians to get creative with. I’ve got a full time job and kids and what not, no world tours are in the works, but could get together once or twice a week to rehearse and play shows locally.

Way too many to list but my songs tend to exist in the Eliot Smith, Blonde redhead, Pixies, Animal Collective, Alvvays, Beach House, Wilco, Thome York, Tame Impala, Sufjan Stevens, the National, Fleet Foxes, Big Thief, Vampire Weekend, Broken Social Scene universe. Also harmonically some electronic stuff, Plaid, Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, Fever Ray, Four Tet etc.
