ABOUT

Anarkiss is a genre-fluid group that aims to create well thought-out, intensely collaborative music. We endeavor to construct a unique relationship between the artist and the listener, one focused on uplifting and supporting each other through acts of mutual aid.

Our creative philosophy is based on communication and helping everyone feel respected and heard.

Our political message is of emancipation and abolition, with a focus on not just critique but on direct action. We stand in solidarity with movements like Black Lives Matter in the fight against the prison industrial complex and US Police State.

We would like to empower and energize all marginalized groups in the fight against:
- Racism
- Fascism
- Ableism
- All the cruelties of Capitalism

And to help build a world that is based in:
- Vulnerability and Open Communication
- Queer Love and Tenderness
- Curiosity and Science
- Social and Environmental Equity

We are looking to collaborate with a variety of artists both on the band Anarkiss itself and on a number of other music production projects.

These projects include: Musical Theatre Productions, Political Sets/Gigs, Comedic music, Pirate Shanties, genuinely witty educational bops, finding what's fascinating about dismantling dangerous historical misconceptions to explaining how to take advantage of our evolutionary anatomy, Rock songs, Rap songs, and Music Videos, consulting each other about songwriting choices, and other such nerdy performance art fun.

Members Of Band

Anarkiss is currently made up of Loki (they/them) and Vossivuss (they/them).

LOKI

Loki is an experienced vocalist and passionate songwriter from Chicago, IL. They have done a myriad of performances since first getting on stage at the age of 3, including:

- lead singer in alt rock band “Life In An American Riot”, performing at venues such as Reggie’s Rock Club

- lead roles in The Music Man, Hello Dolly, Sound of Music, and several other musical theatre productions

- work as a vocalist and soloist in a variety of choirs

- professional vocal training, including operatic works

Tommy has a powerful and versatile voice with a very strong natural vibrato, ranging from D2 at the low end of their bass range to E#5 at the high end of their falsetto range.
This 3-octave range allows them to sing harmonies from almost any voice part, and explore a great variety of genres and vocal styles with their music.

VOSSIVUSS

Vossivuss is a Soprano/Alto who knows how to work a crowd
Vossivuss's 14 years of songwriting have seen them exploring Nonbinary Philosophy And the fight of coming into our authenticity amidst the ruling classes narratives about our "place" through a musical about Dionysus

to a Knights tale of training and Fighting a Victorious battle against the Burger King.

They're excited to be your guide through the intricate realm of Marketing, their 9 years making them a confident and competent companion

Their love of Photography and editing has created works invoking Glamour to Cosmic Horror. So whatever direction we need for a shoot should be covered

And they're prepared to make your grand music video dreams come true with their expertise in Budget Filmmaking
