Not classically trained, but I’ve been singing in front of audiences since my Sunday school days. Prefer music that is fun and energetic (and a little vocal heavy), but I’ve been in cover and original bands as lead and backup vocalist, with styles including: pop, rock, jazz and blues.

Influences

Really found my voice in the 90’s Lilith Fair era, and it shows a little. Tone is reminiscent of early Fiona Apple (Tidal) and Sheryl Crow (Globe Sessions), with a little Aerosmith during their Alicia Silverstone phase (Grip It). Can also add to the list: No Doubt (Tragic Kingdom), Jewel (first album), Ben Folds Five, Alanis Morissette, Joan Osborne, Alana Davis, Tori Amos.

The rest is a mix of rock/pop/punk/emo/alternative (The Ataris, Paramore, The Killers, Fall Out Boy, Arctic Monkeys, Lady Gaga).

Would absolutely love to dig into some piano jazz as a trio+.
