Aram Elias Takvoryan-Upright and Electric Basses (5 and 4 string Fretted and Fretless), Drums, Guitar, Vocals Born Dec. 10, 1973 in Stamford , CT. Began playing Alto Saxophone at age 6. Switched to drums at 10 years old. At 13, picked up my first bass guitar. A few years later, acoustic guitar and vocals After playing in many bands in and around Knoxville, TN, I attended college at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, where I earned an honors degree in Psychology in 1995. *1996- Formed the band Wherever It Goes (W.I.G.) 4 years and 1 album later, I returned to Knoxville and joined St. Somewhere, a Caribbean-Rock band. *2000-2002 Toured with St. Somewhere all over the U.S. playing several hundred shows, including 5 opening gigs with Jimmy Buffett (he also played a show with us in Margaritaville, Key West-Halloween, 2002). *2002- St. Somewhere recorded/released their 3rd CD and first national release-self titled St. Somewhere. *2003-2004- Taught Bass Guitar and Drums/Percussion at The Music Garden in Knoxville. I Currently teach drum and bass lessons out of my home. *Solo vocal performance of the National Anthem at the Knoxville Coliseum. (Knoxville Ice Bears Hockey game) *Played w/ several bands and solo acts including, Crawlin Kingsnake, Palm Grease, Soulgasm, Nine Mile Skid, Tall Paul, Dave Landeo, and The Detroit Daddies. *2004-2005 Bassist/ Vocalist with Garage Deluxe/Knoxville, TN. *2004-2007 Bassist/Vocalist with JayStorm. *2006- Present - Currently Bassist/Vocalist for JC and the Dirty Smokers, Big Bad Jukebox, The Honky Tonks Anonymous, the Brock, Pat. Aram Trio (Lumpy Gravy ?), Smokin' Section and The Dave Landeo Band/Knoxville, TN, as well as subbing gigs.
