Looking for a Bass Player

We are an Atlanta-based original rock band looking for a bass player. Our sound is commercially oriented rock. Currently the band consists of a lead singer/ rhythm guitarist and a lead guitarist/ backup vocalist and drummer. We have been compared to Alice in Chains, Live, etc but have a unique sound.

Our band is signed to a local record label called Four Records. Our producer is Grammy nominated sound engineer and producer Russ-T Cobb. We are currently in the process of recording the last few tracks for our debut album and are looking to release it in January. After the release, we will begin touring regionally to promote the debut album.

We are looking for musicians in the mid-20's to mid-30's range who can play the record - not just improvise (though some of that is ok). If we find the right people they will, of course, have creative input the next time we go into the studio. In terms of styles our bass player needs to know how to lock in with the kick, play lines that match or are based on the guitars and the song's rhythm, know how to move from a higher octave to a lower for strong changes and how to step outside of the box and create some great bass licks within the context of the song. Also there are lots of two part vocal harmonies and we would love to add one more voice to the mix.

This is not a hobby for us and we are looking to make music our career, so you must be dependable, willing to work hard and genuinely INTO our sound. We have some great connections and are ready to take it to the next level; we just need the right guy (or girl).
