Pity the Poor are an experimental rock group formed in Plant City, FL in 2009. The bands sound covers a wide range of genres from ambient strings and thought out ballads to screaming guitars and powerfully convicting lyrics. The bands desire is to become a successful departure from the everyday repetitions of typical modern rock. Confronting issues with their lyrics where most bands would choose to glorify themselves or swim in self pity, Pity the Poor has chosen the road less traveled.
As of July 27th, 2010, Pity the Poor's debut album FireFly is available for download in it's entirety in the iTunes music store, as well as Amazon mp3 and most other online music outlets.
