***No longer searching for a drummer***

Currently, I'm the bassist in a band based out of Springfield, VA who has just lost our drummer to a new job that will have him leave the country next month; hard to continue jamming with an ocean between us. So, we need a drummer to fill the big hole left in our practice space.

Long story short, the guitarist and I have been together for four years pumping out originals at a fairly good rate, estimate 1 or 2 songs a month. We picked up a vocalist/keys player back in August who flat out loves to sing, and sing he does well. Throw in the fact that we lost one of our guitarists last May due to a medical issue, and we're kind of starting fresh. All of the old songs that the guitarist and I have written before are set aside with the old band, and a new band has formed. We just need a drummer.

One of the admirable features we look for in a drummer is one who understands the ebb and flow of music. Keeping beats and tempo, of course, is a plus as well, but knowing how to write for the song is a good feature to have. We prefer you to have samples of your technique if you have them and since I won’t request something I can’t provide, I do have samples of our music style as well. If they’re not up on this site yet, just ask and I can get them to you.

If interested, email me at screwloose5 at g mail dot com. I hear bandmix isn’t too fond of email addresses posted in descriptions, and I love me a junk mail account for the website itself. Email me at the website I gave the site, and I might get it in a week. We're a group of laid back individuals with aspirations to make a career of this. To play music as a full time job and get paid? But of course. Thanks for reading.
