Solid, reliable bass player with over 30 years of experience. I've played in rock, oldies, and country bands. I currently play in a rock cover band, Helm's Deep. We are considering adding a female lead vocalist to add a new dimension to our sound. Check out axeman410 for some demo recordings of the band. I also play in my church praise band. I recently attended a group master class with local jazz bassist Brian Bortz. I've completed Gary Burton's "Introduction to Jazz Improvisation" online class on Coursera. Influences
Pretty much everything and everybody I listen to! I'm primarily rock influenced: Geddy Lee, Chris Squire, John Entwistle, John Paul Jones. I also love to listen to Jazz/Fusion players, however I can't play like them! Some of my favorites are: Jaco, Victor Wooten, Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Michael Manring, Oteil Burbridge, Jeff Berlin, Steve Bailey, Christian McBride, John Patitucci, Wayman Tisdale, and many others!
