ABOUT
Born in Hiram, Maine. Schooled at home, where Beach Boys, Beatles and Marty Robbins graced my parents stereos. The first vinyl record I ever listened to was the London recording of Jesus Christ SuperStar. The first cassette tape I recall owning was Mariah Carey "Music Box", but other early favorites were Boyz II Men "Cooly-high-harmony", Marty Robbins' "Cowboy Ballads" and Brian Adams "Everything I do - Single". The first CD I ever owned was Green Day's "Dookie". High School at Fryeburg, started jazzing, and then McGill University in Montreal where it continued to branch. Schooled in Rock. Jazz. Sing with Effusion A Cappella for the soul, r+b, etc. Played with Dr Toms Leather for the quirky alt-country, Btars for the fronting and writing, Kweku and the Movement for the hip-hop, Dust Jackets for the funky indie-rock, Kokoro for the.. whatever it is Kokoro did, and so much more. Still learning...
Currently souloing at bars/clubs/restaurants in the Mount Washington Valley, Portland and beyond, playing acoustic guitar and singing and live-looping vocal percussion and harmonies on everything from soulful originals to jazz standards to rock 'n roll. Digesting all the new rhythms and melodies absorbed in New Zealand, where I have been touring for the past 6 months. Currently pushing my new CD, plugging my website, and writing tunes. Full length album with new band is on the horizon...
