ABOUT

I’m lookin to get into the music community around Vancouver. Just moved here from Wyo three months ago. Just wanna have fun!! I don’t mean to make this sound like a tinder profile.. but I’m open to learning and playing new things. I like to get creative!

I’ve performed with only 3 professional bands, very consistently. Although it may not sound like much, I’m loyal to whom ever I gig with. I have also sat in on many different sessions in bars, lounges, institutions, and festivals. Looking to soak up all the experiences I can get.

I just recently finished a dual associates degree in Music Performance and Sound Technology from a nationally accredited college. I’m very familiar with sound systems, both on stage and in the studio. I generally prefer to perform live but studio sessions run very smoothly for me. I do plan to continue my education at UW but I’m open to change things up if need be.

As for my upbringing, I was introduced to drumming/percussion early in life soon to fully embrace the instrument(s) in grade school. I take after my grandfather and father as both rock and classical musicians. My last live gig was in January.

Influences

I’m all over the place. Specifically Blues, country and Classic Rock are my specialties! Love funk! Like pop and post-contemporary punk/rock, sometimes a guilty pleasure..

My influences change from time to time depending on the genre I perform. I’ll fall into a phases of classic rock including: Queen, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Journey, Fleeteood Mac. Then I’ll shift over to Rock/metal: Alice In Chains, Creed, DLR, Nirvana, tool, sometimes Korn. But I’ve always had a sweet spot for blues and country: from Stevie Ray Vaughan, Don Williams, George strait, Hank Williams, CCR to Bobby Lewis, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, the Coasters, etc. I do like post contemporary bands and artists like Paramore, Panic at the Disco, and much more.

I’ve also studied other styles of drumming, being very familiar with jazz. Most likely won’t use it…… Versatility is what I’m going for!
