Hey, fellow Pro-Level Singer/Musicians from Southern California! I need your help. I am looking for someone who can Sing lead, and really knows how to front a Rock n’ Roll band, But, think more Irish Celtic Punk Rock band. I need that mind and skill set that understands this approach. Emphasis on the singing skill, vocal technique and swagger and attitude. You bring Energy and understanding of the task.
Just as important as knowing how to sing, it’s a gig without ego, where the song is the star, and you lead the band with that lead singer personality. Have fun, and don’t push it too hard, you know just how to relax into the role. You have the age, and experience on stage, so if you want to get back into the game again, you can, because you don’t age out of this musical genre. And you know exactly how to bring it.
I am putting the band together once again, because we can’t get it out of our system, It’s in our DNA.

My name is Blake Micale and I originally put this band together. I’m an ASCAP writer/publisher, and composer/arranger. I play Lead Guitar, Mandolin, and Keyboards, primarily Guitar. I have composed music and opening themes for a number of different TV shows and commercials. And so far, I have put together a world class band of talented musicians. And musicians I’m lucky to call friends.
I currently have a top-level Bass player in Andrew James Bowen (Karmin), a world-renowned Drummer, Mika Fineo (Filter), an outstanding B3/Keyboard player, national tour and session veteran Mark Brown (Hambone Relay). A world-renowned talent, and long-time friend, Eric Gorfain (The Section) on Fiddle and Mandolin. A player good enough for playing shows with Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, and we are humbled to have him part of the band. When I need an accordion for special gigs, that would be my friend, Cory Pesaturo, the number one accordion player in the world – Google him! Hell, Google all of them! This is The Black Shamrocks.
I have time to be patient because what I’m looking for is specific. I’m looking for a guy between 35 and 60. Older is fine, because in this genre, you don’t “age out”, I want the experience, and the guy who just “gets it”. I am looking for someone who is not financially desperate to work, dependent on this to pay the mortgage, or hard up for a gig because he is looking to go out and get drunk with new people. No. leave the alcohol at home; we don’t drink or get drunk at that level anymore! I’m looking for someone who’s been there, done that, and who misses it dearly. Playing and performing is also in your DNA. You wanted to give it up, raise a family, and move on, but you realize you just can’t leave it behind anymore. I understand, we all understand. So, this time around, this band is on OUR terms, where we perform, WE choose. How long we play, WE choose.
This is a project for the love of music, and for the love of a band who loves to play, and not necessarily for the paycheck. I don’t want to pay a hired gun at this talent level. This band is all about talent at That level, but having been in all the other scenarios, this is the only thing that works, because, again, we all choose to do this. If I’ve lost you by this point, that’s fine, best of luck! I want players who want to be a part of this band.

You need to know this too, we are making an adjustment to the song arrangements. Instead of just covering the songs as we have in the past, even with our creative arrangements of these classic Irish Rock tunes, we are now doing mashups up with classic rock songs everyone knows and loves.
