i am more or less a melody drummer as i feel i really play well when i know the lyrics and get familiar with the melody - a lot of what i do is by feel and i play my best when i don't get in the way and just let it go through me - i play with jazz drum sticks light and skinny - they can play very quiet and then pretty darn loud
