ABOUT

Hello all, my band Soul Bloom is currently looking for a bassist. If you also play stand up bass, that would be great. We mostly play jazz, but expand our genre's with other styles of music for wedding gigs, funk/pop/soul to name a few. We sometimes try our luck on pacific avenue in downtown santa cruz, on a good day we can make about $80 for 2 hours of music between whoever comes.. We've been asked to play on KPIG, and the local santa cruz public television, a few bars around town, amongst few other potential gigs. We have been leaning more towards doing wedding gigs, there fun and pay really well, but were always down to play any gigs that come our way. I play keys and cover for vocals from time to time. We have a vocalist who plays rhythm guitar, a kick ass drummer, trombone player, and sax/trumpet player. Our bass player recently moved away so we need a replacement for sure. Open to a lead guitarist, piano player, as well but it's supper essential to pick up a bass player above all else. We practice 3-4 times a week for 3-6 hours at a time, so availability is a big factor too. Once cabrillo starts back up, with us all being students there, we will probably shorten our lengths of practice but still get together as much as possible.
