Brian Thompson (BT) is an artist from Van Meter, IA. He is best recognized for electric & upright bass with a love for blues, bluegrass, swamp rock. BT has been playing with a worship team for 10 years and Call of the Road (southern rock) for 2 years. He played in jr high & hs jazz, pep, marching, contest, concert & all state (bands & choirs), sang in church choir during high school and had his own alt rock band at that time.
In the 20+ years that BT has been active, he has grabbed influence from other artists and life experiences. It was the versatile, moving music from artists pink floyd, poison, metallica, ac/dc, johnny cash, meatloaf, several others, that had the most impact on him growing up. BT references their music as something to set a feel or vibe, bass should drive a song and set a mood. It's love of music & enjoyment of playing that motivates his blues, rock, southern rock, swamp rock, bluegrass style the most.
