I played drums for 30 years or so in the Denver area and moved to Arkansas 3 yrs ago. I took up bass and like it much more than I though I would.

I'd like to meet up with others interested in blues, not the cry in your beer depressing kind, but the funky, toe tapping get up and dance kind.

Not really interested in making a deep important message with the doom/metal/screemo/core type of stuff, I just want to play fun dancable stuff folks want to hear so that I (we) can make some money doing it and have some fun.

Influences:

All over the place from Pat Metheny to Albert Collins, Dr. John to Chick Corea, although in the genre I'm most interested now, anyone that does bluesy funk and funky blues. Think pretty much anything off of Koko Taylor's Jump for Joy CD or Albert Collins Cold Snap.

I'm not a frustrated guitar player - I play the Bass finger style and appropriate groove oriented thumb, although my pick playing is getting better.
