ABOUT

Hey there! I'm a classically trained composer and singer/songwriter. In this group, The Sunshapes, we play a combo of originals and cover songs and are seeking a new cellist to fill out our live sound. Sheet music parts are available and open to embellishment (if desired).

Current members:
Bryan: Vocals/Guitar/Piano/Trumpet/Bass/Drums
Kate: Vocals/Keys/Trumpet/Banjolele/Autoharp
Maddie: Vocals/Bass
Mike: Drums

Looking for a cellist or DJ who is open to jamming/rehearsing and collaborating on new material. We're open to ideas musically--aiming for a sound that blends pop, rock, electronic, and classical elements.

We have sheet music, chord charts, and road maps to use until the music is memorized as well as recordings of original songs for individual practicing. Open to eventually working on new music together as well (mine/yours/collaboratively written).

We rehearse and record at my home studio in Shoreview, MN on a loose bi-weekly (or so) schedule. Very casual timeline. No rush. No pressure. A professional/personable yet chill/fun band dynamic.

Looking to build a social media following first and then play shows when there is a demand. We prefer to hold out for performances that pay but are open to booking non-paying gigs for fun and exposure if we all so desire.

Please reach out if you are interested. Would love to hear from you.
