ABOUT

We are a Bass/Drum duo who has been playing together for 20+ years. I am a Bass Player/songwriter who functionally plays guitar and drums for the sake of writing music...but my first love is playing a combination of rock(we are not opposed to getting heavy), slap funk and reggae on Bass. Our drummer Rick is a rock solid percussionist who can go from technical funky stuff to go-go to metally stuff. We are looking for an experienced(at least 5 years of serious playing) rythm/lead guitar player who can play the above mentioned genres...a player who likes to rock out and have a good time, but who has a serious attitude and approaches music with a sense of professionalism. no egos please, we need a player who wants to be part of a team...a tight 3 piece. i have a very diplomatic approach to songwriting and make sure everyone stands out...also, we need a guitarist who is collaborative and who we can work with on original stuff. most of our original stuff sounds like a mixture of 311, the red hot chili peppers, sublime and what ever heavier rock band you could insert here(Mudvayne or Sevendust would be good examples). We already have a couple great gigs lined up for when we find a guitarist and get a set list of originals and covers together.

EQUIPMENT

We have all the PA system we'll ever need...our whole PA is Carvin. we have 4 18"s and 2 3way 15"s(2 18"s sitting under 1 3way 15 will pyramid on each side) which are powered by a 1250 and a 1500 watt amp. we have a 16 channel mixer with which we will mic as much as possible(i am a firm believer in that, the more you have miced and in the mix, the better you will sound). My Bass rig is 1 15" and 4 10"s and is all Ampeg. My head is a Hartke HA5000 and puts out 500 watts. Rick uses several different brands of drum equipment, but primarily uses DrumWorks and Tama hardware. Any Prospective guitar player would need enuff to at least match me and an unmiked drum kit(when we play shows everything will be miked)
