Influences

As far as bassists go, my main influences are Fieldy from Korn and Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Evil J. McGuire and Justin Chancellor are the type of bassist I wish and aim to be. Jean Baudin's solo work is inspiring to me as well, though not necessarily prominent in my style.

Some Bands that influence my style
(eclectic, but eh, that builds good music XD):

Within Temptation
Korn
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Disturbed
Jean Baudin
Otep
Tool
Slipknot
Apocalyptica
The Birthday Massacre
CAKE
Flobots
Enigma
Staind
Shostakovich
Matisyahu
Hurt
Seether
Rise Against
Pink Floyd
Nine Inch Nails
Blue Oyster Cult
Anna Nalick
Lady Sovereign
Panic! at the Disco

EQUIPMENT

My Main bass is an Ibanez SR-305. I deviate more towards Fieldy's style than Flea's, and my equpment and tuning reflect that. My usual tuning is A-D-A-D-F, which accomodates nicely certain aspects of my playing style.
I also own a Fender and a Yamaha 4-string basses, though I don't play them much nowadays due to my rather agressive playing style leading to the solder being broken on their input jacks multiple times and a lack of repairing them. I have repaired the Yamaha, but I definitely prefer my 5-string.
I own an acoustic guitar and a trumpet as well, though I'm considering selling one or both.
My current amp is a 25-watt Crate amp, which can get loud enough for regular practices. When I start playing gigs again with a serious band, I'll buy something like a 100-watt so the low-end can be heard at a gig.
