ABOUT

I mainly play acoustic fingerstyle and Rhythm guitar. I also play lead guitar when needed. I also play bamboo flute and some keys, in the order of an emulated Mellotron. I am currently an online musician who has collaborated with musicians around the globe.I have a home music production studio, so that can come with the package. I mainly write my own songs, but I know a few covers. I am mainly hoping for an original, eclectic style group of individuals that can add progressive, world, alternative rock, jazz, classical influences. We can start out jamming, and no pressure to begin anything until the chemistry is right.

Songs featured with a flair for music from Greece.
From the Blog:
he ancient Greeks believed that the gods and mankind had a partnership with each other and that both existed to serve one another. The twelve most important and most powerful gods lived on top of a mountain in northern Greece known as Mount Olympus. From this holy mountain, the people believed that the gods ruled and controlled all aspects of the natural world as well as all aspects of the lives of individual people.

As with much of our ancient history there is a huge connection with Greek Mythology and music. The god Pan once had the audacity to compare his music with that of Apollo who was the god of the Lyre. He challenged Apollo to a trial of skill. Pan blew on his pipes and Apollo played his lyre but it was a tie. The competitors were forced to hold a second round. In this round, Apollo demanded that they play their instruments upside-down. Apollo, playing the lyre, was unaffected. However, Pan's pipe could not be played while upside down, so Apollo won the contest. As if the wrath of the gods wasn’t bad enough one also had to beware the Sirens! These were dangerous and beautiful creatures, portrayed as femme fatales who lured nearby sailors with their enchanting music and voices to shipwreck on the rocky coast of their island.
The Challenge this month is to write and record a piece of music that you feel fits the theme Greek Mythology. There is no set genre, so whether it’s Jason and the Argonauts, or Pegasus that’s takes your fancy just remember to research, explore and have fun!
