Musician/Songwriter. Former session drummer. Primarily acoustic (for now) but have my roots in indie/experimental rock.
My sound is pretty mellow, dark, and often slower tempo ranging from folk songs to singer/songwriter type stuff to indie/rock. My voice is on the higher side for a male. Because of this I tend to sing back up more than lead. I have written for several artists and performed with many more.
I have been a co-writer, session drummer and ghostwriter for the majority of my musical career. I am new to North County and looking to start a new project with more focus on my style and that of likeminded musicians as opposed to writing/playing for others. With the exception of the drums, I am by no means "professional." I just know how to play, have a good ear and a knack for writing. (Think folky Kurt Cobain haha)

I am all over the place here but for all intents and purposes..... Low, Neil Young, The Low Anthem, Elliot Smith, Cat Power, Beth Gibbons, Sean Lennon, Iron and Wine, Sigur Ros....And for the rockier bit.... The Vaselines, Clinic, Nirvana, Grandaddy, Stephen Malkmus, Sonic Youth, The Pixies, The Flaming Lips and many more...
EQUIPMENT
For personal reasons, I am a bit low on gear right now but should be acquiring it all again soon.
At the moment, I am writing on a Martin 000-15M and recording on a digital recorder with monitors, MXL condenser and an Alesis XR20. Not much, but it's enough to get ideas down and record some decent demos.
