An all-girl, cross-genre alternative rock band, Cherry City Band started in 2012, based in Keizer, Oregon. We've played shows throughout Oregon and travel mainly between Portland and Eugene, although we'll travel anywhere. We play covers and originals. Influences
We like most music and play cover tunes from Journey, Blink-182, Cheap Trick, Def Leppard, Grace Potter, The Cranberries, Shania Twain, U2, The Killers, Bon Jovi, etc. Our rule is simple: all band members have a say in what we play!
Members Of Band
We have a lead vocalist, guitarist, and drummer. We have a Manager, and our label is Moss Music. We are currently in need of a Female Bass Player, preferably, w/ the ability to sing harmonies. We are also looking to expand w/ a rhythm guitarist and a keyboardist. All band members sing harmonies w/ lead.
Presently, we play a 36-song set, depending on venue location/crowd age. No gig is too small or too big for us!
EQUIPMENT
We have all equipment, including PA and mics. All you need to do is be willing to work hard, and have a desire to have fun with a dedicated group who has big goals and dreams! We practice minimum 2x/week, minimum 3 hours/per practice. We have recorded originals, which can be heard on our FB page. Recording time is separate from practice time. Band room is available for practice other than "official" band practice times, and is often used by one or more members of the band.
We currently have 4 gigs lined up and are looking for a bass player, fast! Our band manager (guitarist's dad) is covering for us in the meantime but is willing to get our new bassist up-to-speed quickly!!
