We love all sorts of music. Music on repeat at my house this year (this doesn't necessarily reflect Lisa) includes Nina Simone, The National, LCD Soundsystem, St. Vincent, Animal Collective, Beach Boys' Smile & Radiohead.
Band history: we released our debut album, Stars & Garters, in 2008 and toured briefly to support. It received good press & radio play (mostly college & local). We were in 2009's WBCN Rumble. 2010's Love & Fear EP was released on Goodnight Records (Brooklyn) also receiving good press & radio (college, local & blogs). We again toured briefly and were part of the 2010's CMJ. We've played all over Boston & New York.
We are looking for someone seriously into the project. We have a full length ready for release later this year & would love to hit the road again (probably a quick ½ week to 1 week tour and-or weekends out of town). We have a rehearsal space in Brighton and are looking to practice twice a week. Singing backups, playing other instruments or experience promoting are huge pluses. In addition to our 9 song full length, we have a whole bunch of new material in the works, so there is a lot of creative opportunity. We may add a fourth member to add options with instrumentation.
