I have over 10 years of entertainment experience with vocals inspired by the soulful voices of Aretha Franklin, Bonnie Raitt, and Patty Griffin. My style is a blend of R&B and Rock-Folk, and I love harmonizing and blending vocals. I got my start during the 90s singing in rock bands around the Los Angeles area. By the late 90s I was performing with a variety of musical groups including dance/R&B bands, gospel choirs, and masterworks chorales. Vocal performances took me throughout the western United States and Europe, performing in venues from centuries-old gothic cathedrals to high energy casinos.
I took a long break from music to earn a master's degree and PhD in higher education while moving from city to city with my Navy husband (now retired). Now that we're settled here in the Charleston area, I have a desire to connect with talented local musicians, dust off my microphone(s), and stretch my vocal skills. I'm mostly interested in happy hours, dinner sets, brunch gigs. In other words, I have a career outside of music and late nights are not always conducive to that!
