Jazz composer/arranger. Originally and still studying classical clarinet. My heart is with jazz. I compose and arrange for big bands, and small combo's. I'm looking to put the pencil aside and start performing again. Received my education from a long list of musicians, composers and arrangers. Studied music at Suffolk C.C. on Long Island, Aaron Copeland School of Music in Queens and Berklee College of Music up north in Boston.

Influences:

Influenced by everyone and everything. I learn from all musicians and all types of music I hear. Major influences include Duke Ellington, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Cannonball Adderley, Art Blakey and the Jazz Messegers, Stan Getz, Dexter Gordon, Herbie Hancock, Horice Silver. My latest influences include Dave Grusin, Bob Mintzer, Micheal Brecker (get well soon!!!) Chick Corea, Soulive...anybody who has ever played on the GRP label. As far as vocalist are concerned I'm very picky. I enjoy a range of vocalist from Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Joe Williams to the present day likes of Jane Monheit, Diana Krall...oh and yes there is Sting. You got to love a guy that gets to jam with the top jazz musicians around (Branford Marsalis, Kenny Kirkland, Christian McBride to name a few) whenever he feels like it.

Equipment List:

I play mostly tenor and soprano saxophones although I do on ocassion perform with the alto saxophone. I am also still active on the clarinet.
