ABOUT

I'm Collin, 36, I used to play in a band called Black Me Out with my Ex-wife and 2 other girls. Played a decent number of shows over the 4 years we were together.

I've been known to run the board (not saying im a sound guy...just saying I know enough to get by)and did most of the set up myself so I'm familiar with the ins and outs of set up and tear down.

I rarely drink, had a bad problem for along time but got sober in 2020. I've been known to have one or two on occasion now but it's few and far between. And I won't do drugs either any more so that wouldn't be any issues there.

I'm used to practicing with a band multiple times a week if needed, and willing to play pretty much any style of music...except super technical stuff cause as I'll talk about later I'm not a super fast learner.

When it comes to gear I've got a wide variety of amps and a couple of good guitars(that hold tune pretty well...could have probably gone a whole 10 song set with only tuning once on one of them!)

Not a super fast learner...I'll say that. I figured out I'm alot better at improvising than straight up copying the original. Obviously I can play songs to the letter if the part requires it, but I'd much rather experiment a little and taylor the parts to how it fits the band, rather than make the band fit the song. So if you are the type of musician/band that wants to do something to the recording, you may as well count me out cause it'd take me way too long to be perfect.

I was the only electric player in the band so I'm comfortable with lead and solo work if needed(not awsome just comfortable) but don't mind playing rhythm either. Just want to get back out there and start playing with people again. If any of this seems interesting to you let me know.

Oh and a beat to crap pdp x7 drum kit in my garage surrounded by a bunch of home made acoustic panels and a plexiglass drum shield...ya know so you can play as hard as you want and the rest of the band can still have a conversation.
