I've been a bunch of bands but moved from where I was in Alaska back to Illinois to go for my Master's at NIU's School of Music. Now I do my own studio work, but I want to get in a band again. I'm mainly a sax player at heart, so people like Maceo Parker, John Coltrane, Eric Dolphy, Vido Musso. But everything from the Dead and Dylan to the Meters, the Descendents, Yes, ELP,Stan Kenton, Debussy, everything Miles Davis did before 1975,Jelly Roll Morton, Honeyboy Edwards, this could go on and on....You get the idea - jazz, blues, R & B, etc. Improvisation!
