Semi-pro bass player with 35 years of experience. Can sing backup vocals as well. Pro attitude, pro gear all squared away. No time for drama or dealing with people who don't have their lives sorted, sorry.

I would love to play funk, disco, r&b, pop, ska, zydeco, polka rockabilly... Anything FUN, especially with a horn section. I am very bored with the ubiquitous classic rock/blues thing. It's just overdone in this area, IMO. There are only so many cover versions of Last Dance with Mary Jane and Jesse's Girl that you can listen to, honestly.

Gosh, everything really. Love Mark King, Louis Johnson, Marcus Miller, James Jamerson, Pino Palladino, Victor Wooten, pretty much any Funk and R&B... Also appreciate plenty of rock players as well,... Geezer Butler, Chris Squire, Steve Harris, John Taylor, Geddy Lee, Tony Levin, Paul McCartney .... I could go on.

I really just enjoy playing fun music to entertain people. I don't want to play angry, ugly music - it has to be fun.

EQUIPMENT

I have too many basses for one man, to be honest. I use direct floor rig direct to FOH with IEMs. I don't want to haul backline around anymore and don't feel the need to deafen the band and aggravate the sound engineer with giant, obnoxious amps and cabinets. If playing a show without PA support, I just bring a powered monitor to run the bass through.
