I enjoy writing music, recording, and performing. I play many instruments, but the keys are my base. I create music using a variety of techniques - some are digital (using the PUSH controller or keyboard controller with Ableton LIVE or LogicPro), while others are recording instruments - lead, rhythm, and bass guitar. I'm not much of a singer, though, but I can do background vocals, as long as it's in my fairly narrow range.

Influences
U2 was my first favorite band, then I fell in love with The Naked and Famous in my 30s. Now I'm in my 40s and I really enjoy a lot of different genres - I really enjoy live music, watching how musicians create the different parts of a song.

EQUIPMENT
I have a traveling drumset, a digital piano, a lot of electronic music equipment (a couple of DAWs, all sorts of gear, etc.). I also have training as an audio engineer and it turns out people think I'm pretty good at producing, although I don't do it as a career. I actually have a doctorate in molecular biology.
